Irish Experience Programs
EXCELLENCE - EDUCATION - FAITH - TRADITION - COMMUNITY; THIS IS THE IRISH EXPERIENCE

Over the past century the Department of Athletics at the University of Notre Dame has achieved an unrivaled level of success. There is good argument that no athletics program in the country that has withstood the test of time as well as the Fighting Irish of Notre Dame. The reason for this success is the unwavering commitment to the core values of the institution, values that honor the Catholic tradition of the University. Under the leadership of our current Director of Athletics, Jack Swarbrick, our department has identified five core pillars or success; Excellence, Education, Faith, Tradition and Community.
The five pillars serve as core competencies that are representative of the 360 degrees of human development our athletes receive through the extensive network of support provided to them here at Notre Dame. The office of Youth Sports and Community Programs is taking these five pillars of success and incorporating them into a series of programs that will enable us to share the values of Notre Dame Athletics with the community.
Since their inception here on campus sports have always served as an experience in human and community development. Now through a new series of programs Notre Dame intends to share that experience, the IRISH EXPERIENCE, with children throughout South Bend and beyond.

Irish Experience Road Show: In a day and time where children might find it more challenging to find positive role models we feel an obligation to take the values of the Irish Experience beyond our immediate community. The formation of the Irish Experience Road Show will enable us to take the spirit and values of Notre Dame to children around the country via off site Notre Dame multi-sport clinics that are infused with the spirit and values of the five pillars and the Play Like A Champion philosophy.
