About Us
MISSION
Through the office of Youth & Community programs, the Department of Athletics aims to use the platform of sports as a vehicle for positive social impact. Our mission is to use the ideals of Notre Dame Athletics as a tool for human and community development. Our ability to impact the goals and dreams of the nation's youth brings with it great honor and responsibility that we do not take lightly.
In addition to character formation, we believe sport can be used to build community. Celebrating the success of the Fighting Irish has always been a source of building community here at Notre Dame, however beyond that the transcendent power of sport can be used as a form of hope in a world that needs Notre Dame to use every means possible to fulfill our call to work for the common good.
